B. What information does LAI collect?

1. Technical Data - Upon general website browsing.

2. Personal Data – Collecting Personally Identifiable Information

We collect the below information when you register for a newsletter or any event, subscribe to any publications, log on to our websites, request information, provide feedback, join a discussion group, or join an electronic mailing list:

Contact details including your telephone/mobile number and e-mail address.
Medical Council Registration No.
Name of your medical school/university
Address of your medical school/university
Name of the Dean of your medical school/university

4. Financial Data – Collected by Third Party Tools such as Payment Gateway (Razorpay)

We do not collect or retain any financial data on our website. When you make payment for any event or purchase any publications on our website, you may be asked to provide your credit card/banking details. Please note that LAI website connects you with a secure online third-party payment gateway (RazorPay) and these details are captured on RazorPay’s payment gateway and hosted outside of LAI website. 5. Information from third parties or publicly available sources

We might receive information about you such as order details, your details shared with our partners, advertisers or third parties registered on the Platform and add it to our account information.

Joining e-discussion groups may mean that other participants of the discussion group (including non-LAI personnel) will see personal information that you have volunteered. For open discussion groups, this information will be public.

C. How does LAI use the information it collects?

1. Technical Data - Upon general website browsing.

The information gathered during general browsing of the LAI website is used to understand and analyze general trends, such as the website that led you to us, the files you download, and the pages you visit, along with the dates and times of your visits and allows us to improve our website and your user experience. It is not connected with any personal information.

2. Personal Data – Collecting Personally Identifiable Information

We use the collected personal information to:

Contact you – either in response to a query or suggestion or to mail newsletters, documents, publications, etc. to you.
Confirm your purchases and registrations on the website.
Obtain payment for purchases through the website (using a third-party payment gateway)
